improvisational quilting : or how there is no messing up 

a workshop & conversation with marlee grace of have company

Join fiber artist, dance maker, and shop keeper Marlee Grace of Have Company for an evening of quilting & talking.  In this workshop you will learn the very basics of patchwork on a sewing machine, design elements of quilting, how to hand quilt, and how to bind! Basically in this 3 hour class you get a crash course in how to make a damn blanket, but you also get a crash course in how there is no wrong way to quilt, no wrong way to make, no wrong way to be. 

Class is $80 and includes materials.  Basic sewing machine knowledge and knowing how to sew a straight line on a machine is VERY helpful, but not required. If you can bring a machine : GREAT, if you can't, we'll make it work. You will also get a copy of Marlee's zine How to Not always be Working !!
